I had to fight

I had to die

I had to sit with grief

I had to swim in the depths of depression

I had to visit with my ghosts of the past

I had to dance with guilt 

I had to purge the toxic shame

I purged the toxic guilt 

Over and over again

I had to sit with self-hate

I had to embrace the discomfort 

I had to say yes to the unknown

I had to do it scared

I had to be ok with being rejected

I had to be left alone

I had to be okay with being hated

I had to be okay with being talked about

I had to be okay with being judged

I had to keep my heart open

I had to be vulnerable

I had to be unseen

I had to sit with trauma

I had to sit in darkness

I had to sit with jealousy 

I had to choose again and again

I had to be unacknowledged

I had to be unappreciated

I had to connect to my soul’s pain

I had to say no to fleshy desires

I had to sit with the choice of suicide

I had to sit with acceptance 

Over and over again

I had to FEEL all of it

Just To experience and find you there… Happiness.

People want what I have. They want to know how I do things and this is it. 

This is my magical cocktail.

We will be invited to our happiness party when we accept the invitation to sit with our pain.
