Good Fats HDL vs. Bad fats LDL
Bad Fat examples: hydrogenated oil, saturated fat, Trans fat. These bad boyz will lead to heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. (chips, little debbies, fast food)
Good Fat examples: Omega-3, monounsaturated, polyunsaturated. Good fats can help boost metabolism and promote healthy weight loss. Aim for 3-6 omega 3 fish oil capsules a day!
Types of Good Fats:
Coconut oil – or MCT is used for weight loss and increased metabolism. It leaves you satisfied and has a high smoke point so sauté it up!
If you’re LDL or total cholesterol is high, ask your MD about taking or boosting your Vitamin D3 intake. I take about 7,000 IU;s a day. My Vitamin D was 48 and my Bio-Identical weightloss Doc put me on the 7,000 a day and it has greatly improved. low Vitamin D levels are sometimes associated with high cholesterol.
Macadamia oil – boost metabolism up to 10%. Has more monounsaturated fat than extra virgin olive oil (evoo)!! Like Coconut oil Macadamia oil also has a high smoke point. Replace everything in your kitchen (vegetable oil, Crisco, butter etc.) with these oils.
